No, unless to want to look like a chav 
Impreza's are like 911's. They all look roughly the same. I'm sure the RB320 is a great car and better than the WRX-300 special limited 666 version, but really only the scooby lot would know that it's far more sick 'init.
And before the Scooby boyz come here shouting, I would say I had an EVO which had the same issues. The cheap ones were just getting in range of the 'baseball at jaunty angle blue LED' masses. Shame really as they are good cars /(EVO's and Subaru's).

No, 335i bmw can be bought for £28k or a m sport for £30k and remapped to 380bhp!!
Suburu is old hat, nasty interior and drinks fuel.
S4 suggestion isnt a bad one other than its slower than 335i, theres a new model coming next year, plus they drink petrol at an alarming rate (335i 30mpg vs S4 22mpg)

If I don't find a decent Noble this is going to be mine. www.type-25.com I've driven it and it's simply astonishing and felt quicker than anything I've driven in a straight line let alone the bends.The bespoke engineering is superb.You can get it in A-line spec in discreet colours, no silly spoilers and nice bits like climate etc. Very stealth. Maybe not the sense of occasion that you get with the Noble but a truly gob-smacking car

it seems an incredible car (as is the mitsubushi evo 400) but both are 40k cars that can be bought for £6-8k if you forgo the last 20% of the performance. eg Evo V1 or 2002 WRX PPP.
the jap cars seem to age in dog years also - look back at a mid 90's BM and it still looks fresh - do the same with a jap and it looks horrid.

The thing is, I've never had any interest in Jap 4 wheel thingies 'til I drove this. It's absolutely nothing like any UK spec Scoob/Evo I've driven, which I've always found horrid( including the latest STi's, EVOIX and 400)It's simply in a different league everywhere, pop down there and drive it, you'll simply be blown away.
Monday is D-day for me,if no deal on my latest Noble find then I'm in!

Not at all, you could pick up a current type, low mileage Imprezza STi (2004-2005MY) with 320-340bhp for £15-£16k. Therefore the type 25, whilst undoubtedly better is probably not worth 3 times the price.
The BMW comparison is exactly what happened with the CSL when many stood back and said £20k extra for a carbon roof and boot and no extras. Ergo BMW couldnt sell them and they are a half price bargain 2 years later.
Besides Imprezza is creaky and old now, completely new model out soon which will send values throught he floor of current shape

Benno I can see what you're getting at but I think it's flawed. Firstly if your going to compare like with like then a 2004 Type-25 retails at about 22/24K (that model was £34K new)and it's undoubtedly 8 grand better tha a 2004 STi with a dodgy remap and exhaust.
With regard the CSL I really think they shot themselves in the foot by also making it a two pedal car as well as the 20 grand hike , but 2/3years on values are remarkably stable and are being bought by enthusiasts, not something that could be said when they were new.
Imprezzas creeky and old? Couldn't agree more,I literally have hated every one, but I'll say it again the new Type-25 is a totally re-engineered car, with amongst other things a hand built blueprinted Cosworth engine signed by the builder. Oh and EVO said it was "the nearest thing to a 4 door GT3RS you'll ever find". I've driven it and it completely changed my perception.
