gallardo no quicker

Oulton was a great day although track didn't dry right until late afternoon.
What I did notice after driving my friend's RS Focus round was that it's easy to drive a slow car round fast, but driving a fast car round fast is a different story.
You guys were right about the slippy part of the track under the trees, it scared me everytime.
Your be glad to know I did manage to spin, coming out of the chicane!! Believe it or not I had to use fourth gear on the exit all day. The first time I tried to use third and round the back end came......
The only other noble there a blue 2.5 also came off!
As we all so adore the Lambo gallardo your be pleased to hear we had it out for 3 laps with him in front. By this time things were drying out and although the lambo would no doubt be easier to drive it never pulled away once. We chatted at length after the dual as he was surprised at the pace of the noble.
There was a constent blue flame within both exhaust's on the lambo... very nice!!!

You lucky boy! Would have loved to see a Lambo and Noble battling it out! Good stuff! Assuming he didn't have the Gallardo SE, your power to weight ratios would be virtually matched. On a bone dry track in the summer and again assuming equal talent for both of you, I'd say you'd edge ahead of the lambo. On a damp day...as it sounds like it was...you did really well to keep up with him given he has 4WD.

By all accounts the Gallardo I had for the weekend was significantly slower in absolute terms. The 4WD certainly helped it as it was wet or damp for most of the weekend. However, Gallardo's have very long 1st and 2nd (60mph in 1st.....) and so until they get about 90+ they don't really 'feel' their actual speed.
