if only it was ! around the Peterborough area ?

It was on a red/white viper 6 weeks ago, guy paid £21K for it at DVLA auction a couple of years ago. I know someone who will pay more, if it ever comes up for sale

Obscene? No, probably nothing more than a transfer of wealth from an individual to the government.

Chances are it was a government DVLA auction in which case the purchaser has just given the exchequer an extra £21k to have the right to a number plate that perhaps at a later date he may sell on and get his/her money back.

People usually only pay these prices when they feel the plate will have a value in the future.

DAZ

PS a good plate may be a better investment than a pension!!

Edited to say for once someone actually getting something when giving the government £21k.
