Tomorrow is D-Day for spec.

White or Red!!!

HELP (please) - it's driving me nuts!!!


(car will be used for road and track, and I'll be keeping it for one year before moving onto an RS)

Red. Far too many white ones out there already .....

White is a real pain to keep looking good if you track it. All the rubber dings (which require clay barring off) really show up.

White's good, in fact I love it. But there is something about the red...

My sentiments exactly - though that's not to say the white ones don't look absolutely fantastic. But try finding one that isn't white. They're around, but they're in a minority. I haven't seen a red one yet.

Sorry, not a fan of red pork....if you don't want white how about speed yellow? It certainly looked great on the 996 GT3 and I woud expect it to be slightly easier to sell on than red.

If it is out of those two colours has to be RED!

Do you have a build slot for an RS? I thought production was ending this year.

Warning - I saw a few red ones at factory and they looked dull somehow - particularly if not totally clean. Some of the body details seem to get lost - look at those rear view pics above. Like Grant I've gone for silver and although it sounds like the boring choice it really does look good - all of the time. Two months in and I'm more and more happy with my colour choice - as opposed to getting bored.

Yep if you prefer white get it. It's not like you are going to see a million white GT3s every day and get the hump.

Go for GT Silver, slightly darker than Arctic Silver and sets the lines off beautifully.

On the 997GT3, I'd go for white.

But my '6GT3MkII is speed yellow ...

Went for WHITE!!!!

I was still undecided at the OPC while filling in the spec on the computer!

My reason? You can get any porsche in red - but only the GT3 suits white (IMO). So it had to be white!

Final spec:
- white
- buckets
- zenons
- red seat belts
- carbon centre console
- floor mats (would even throw them in for free!)
- sunroof (joking)

£84k (ouch!)

Three months to go...
