Oooh, my missus has just informed me that apparently there's a Ferrari and Maserati festival on at Donnington Park on my birthday (24th May) !

Can anyone guess what *I* want to do on my birthday ?!?

Y'know, a quick spin out in the passenger seat round the track a few times ... or even the drivers seat !

(p.s. I *am* joking btw )
(p.p.s. for regulation purposes, if you need to add 12 stone of balast to the car because it's too fast, I dont make too many whimpering noises ! )

Is this the same event (apart from the location obviously!) that was held last year at brands? I seem to remember someone telling me the entry price is about £40.

I dont think so ... they had this event on (at Donno) last year, and its basically just a normal race weekend but everything that races is Italian, there's lots of special (Italian) guest cars, loads more to see off-track, FOC stands, and so on. Went last year too. It was good.

Went to Brands last year too. I *think* the price was £25, but coz I drive something red I got in FOC. A fantastic day, spoiled by abysmal weather and horrendous jams on the way home (5.5 hours to get from Brands to Ashby ... a trip that took me 2.1 hours on the way down)

Yup same event. I think its about £20/person to get in. I had a octagon season ticket last year so didn't need to purchase on the day.

Fabulous event hundreds of owners there, with cars of all ages.

Sounds good to me, looks like it will be added to this years list of events to attend

um, frostie .... are you sure ?

The brands event was fairly late on in the year, and this is fairly early on (same timings as the Ferrari/Maser event last year at Donno).

Also, I've got an event list here ... it's £10 to get in on the day (no advance tickets, £16 for the weekend)

I may be wrong but my understanding was that it was moved to Donnington this year and hence the earlier date. I've just checked Brands Hatch calendar and there is no Ferrari event in July/August/September

it is the same as the Brands event, the date moves to suit the Euro 360 racers who are doing back to back races, plus Maranello challenge, Force 5000 and Historic GP.

Makes it a damn sight closer to me then ! (if it takes me 5.5 hours to get home this time, I'm *REALLY* going to throw my dummy out of the pram !)

Are we making a date of this then???

If it's along the same lines as the last Ferrari meet at donington - then it is well worth the trip!!!

Great opportunity to meet up and put a few names to faces. And for a none Ferrari owning daydreamer (Like myself) it's a great chance to get up close and personal with some of the most beautiful cars on the planet.

Count me in boss
Regards,
Jay.

Sorry Nev, bit slow on the uptake there! Unfortunately we won't have a problem with it being too fast, the grid is full of pesky 360's and 355 challenge cars now. Stewart Roden has a lad called Lewis Carter driving for him in a new 360- he must only be 20- very quick at Snetterton last weekend.

If last years meeting at Brands is anything to go by, the Owners Club will have a good display of cars there, from memory there were 2 F50s last year.

"he must only be 20"

Dont you just hate people like that !

I'm up for meeting everyone. (In fact, if anyone's coming from the west/south west then you could call in my house on your way there for a cuppa .... should give the neighbours something to talk about anyway )

I think last time people met up at the Granada service station at jcn 24 didn't they ?
