Thanks Scott. Horbury Bridge, between Wakefield and Huddersfield. Sadly it's gathering dust in the garage at the moment - can't get in it until NHS have sorted me out with new hips. I was in some doubt as to whether I'd be able to drive it afterwards so I did a search on "hip replacements" "TVR" and discovered that Gerry Marshall (of DTV rallying and early Tuscan Challenge fame) had 2 knee replacements (I may need one as well) and a hip replacement and then went back to sports car racing - so I'm determined to get back driving it in the future.

I'll be up Huddersfield tomorrow night, Kirkheaton to be exact!

As for the hip job, sorry to hear about that, but rest assured I know people that have had hip replacements and gone back to driving V8 TVR's in what seems like no time!

A friend of mine had a hip op a few months before xmas and was back driving the TVR V8S for the sunniest meet of the year without so much of a problem so Im sure you'll be double de-clutching and snatching for gears in no time yes

Yeah, I had just spotted this one too. Am about my turboed one up at £200,000 then I can pay the mortgage off and have a few years off work!

Good luck with the op Steve,I will look forward to seeing another 3000S out ojn the roads of West Yorkshire (assuming mine doesn't sell at £200K - might need to find a mad Russian).

Oliver.

Thanks for the best wishes guys. The NHS have already cancelled 1 operation and the consultant wants to leave 4/5 months between ops so it'll be the end of the year before I can throw away the sticks and contemplate driving the Tiv.

Oliver, mines a 420SE not a 3000S - I was just trying to make a quick buck as Scott is threatening to buy a TVR soon

whats it worth then ? Surely it needs a lot of time spent on it. So you would have to have plenty of time avail to you, be handy with spanners and not car about the 'return' on investment. Surely it cant be worth more than a couple of grand?

What? The one Im going to look at??

I havent seen anything of it yet, but let it be said its going for a stupid price and Im hoping it reflects owners wishes to get rid rather than severity of its condition

Im not too bad with spanners, but hopefully I can work something out with a few friends...if not, its back to saving
