After posting on the spotted forum, I noticed that there seem to be quite a few people around the city/Edgebaston/Selly etc... Is anyone interested in meeting up, going for a bit of a blast through the city tunnels then out towards those awesome roads on the way to kidderminster then maybe on to a pub of some sort?

No idea when, where, who etc but is anyone interested?

Hi Nick,

Was going to start this topic off, but looks like you've beaten me to it. I would suggest we do the city run separate to the Kidderminster run. The latter is best done Sunday morning, with a possible blast up to Bridgnorth and the stunning B4368 to the Craven Arms. Some nice pubs on the way back, too.
The city and tunnel run is obviously closer to home, but once again sunday morning would be the quietest time. I can see multiple runs through the Queensway tunnel for this. I think it would be best to follow some kind of route, as not everyone will be familiar with the city.
Just a couple of ideas to start things off. Anyone else thought of anything?

Yep, I'm in and reasonably sure we could involve TVR_Edd too.

In fact, had I known early enough to have proposed it, I'm sure many of those that met at the Bulls Head in Meriden on Sunday would have been up for it.

I can't do this weekend either, but next looks fairly clear at the mo.

If you end up in Kidderminster at some point you'll have to stop off at my Place and I'll pull the Tuscan Racer out of the garage

I'm in Telford so would be glad to tag onto the Kidderminster / Bridgenorth / Craven Arms route over my way!

Spoke briefly with you and Tangoed on Sunday.I was in the Halcyon Atlantis Chim and arrived at the same time as you. Two cracking TVR'S you have there. Love to hear them purring round Brum.

Thanks Paul. I was quite overwhelmed at the turnout. I've been an area organiser for the Worcs Lotus 7 club (and have recently been voted back in although we're now an independent car meet). We've never had any more than about 18 cars turn up, and that'd despite on-going caterham manufacture at about 600 per year (although not all sold in this country).

Anyway, I really enjoyed the diversity of cars on Sunday, and I am definitely up for any fun runs.

Hi Guys, sound like it's going to be loud!!!roflUp and down the tunnels sound good,We could take in the expressway(bit of speed)and turn round at spaghetti as long as we don't get to much attention from the Law.driving

I've been thinking of taking the Chim through the tunnels in Brum for ages,I went to do it in the S once but the tunnels were closed. They are often closed on Sundays for maintenance.

I think the 18th is the next Midlands TVR meeting and I am sure most on this forum will be there.

Depending on how long you guys remain there, we might join you later in the afternoon. Not sure how long a "pass" I can have at the weekends.

this sounds good, Queensway tunnels especially, but there's a fair few road works round that area at the moment but it's one I'd be interested in and easy to get to from my place down the A34 through all the speed cameras !!!!

Sounds like quite a bit of interest! How about the 4th or 11th? We could meet in the trading park in Selly Oak (Halfords, PC world etc) then head out down the A456 to Kidderminster then up the A442 to Bridgenorth then back via the A458 (that might not be the right number!) to Brum. Stop at a pub somewhere along the way (suggestions?!) then maybe do some tunnel running on return to Brum. Any good? Really long and twisty few roads through the countryside which should be a fun drive...

Alternatively could carry on past Kidderminster and follow the A456 to Newnham Bridge then back via the A443 - awesome road!

Are we talking about Feb or March here?

Looks like I'm free for either.
