924/944/968 Strut braces???
Discussion
do the front engined porsches need a strut brace for motor racing??? ive been debating whether or not to put one on my 924 race car
apparently mike jordan once said the chassis is stiff enough without one, so i don't really want to carry around the extra weight if it wont make a difference. any thoughts/opinions would be really helpful

The 944's & 968's racing in the PCGB series don't have them (but that's possibly because they're supposed to be near standard road car spec).
ISTR that the rules for the S2 in particular don't even allow you to change the bushes. I have uprated mounts at both ends of my 944 and would never go back to stock, don't know what it would be like but I imagine a 944 S2 for example on mega hard shocks and springs but with standard mounts would be quite a handfull.
I've got one of these fitted www.racdyn-usa.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=944.99.00.010&Category_Code=apo944 to my 924s, with camber mounts and KW Var3 front suspension.
Without it on, I can fool myself into thinking the turn in is more understeery.
