2003/52 996TT X50 - OPC offering Car so comes with 1yr OPC Warranty etc. (registered 10/02)

Spec:
18k Miles/2 owners
Slate Grey Met/Black Leather with Guards Red belts
PCM2 with Phone Module&Handset
X54 Stainless Exhaust Pipes
Aluminium Pack
Heated Seats both with Lumbar support
Rear Parking assist
Sunroof
CDC4 6disc Changer

I really want a Black/Black, but quite like the Slate Grey as well. Two owners @ 18k??? Must be straight though for it to be in the OPC network (I guess). Salesman reckons he has 2 more to tell me about tomorrow, but it also gives me time to think. Any opinions on the price/spec?

I am (kind of) on the look out for a TT at the moment

OPC seem to think that low mileage cars comand a high premium when in reality somthing like a TT does well with some miles under its belt.

My local has a tippy C2 on a 51 plate with 10000 miles on it. The price? a laughable £42K biglaugh

The spec seems to have everything you will need. Personally I would loose the telephone handset - too 1980's and I understand the hands free system will still work.

If the car was at an indy the price would be in the region of £56k so its pricey but not too bad.

Wouldnt be worried about the 18k although I would ensure the discs and pads have been changed recently and that the car has had its majo 4yr (48000) service. Being cheeky, you might also want to insist that, as the car is nearing 5 years old you will only buy on the basis that the OPC replace the clutch.

I don't understand your comment about ''two owners @ 18k''. Are you suggesting this is a bad thing ? If so, why ? confused

I've only recently decided to take the plunge regarding the TT purchase. Hence I was a bit concerned regarding the log book showing 2 owners with only 18k miles on the car. Since looking at several others, it would appear that TT's can and do often change hands several times with low mileage, (most importantly) without affecting their resale value.

average ownerhsip length of a Porsche in the UK is 18 months so many owner cars are common - not necessarily an issue

that car sounds great spec and would have been interested myself, get for £60k I'd say

atom - nice upgrades - I did not think the tiptronic could take more than 500bhp?

Too expensive - to be expected from an OPC. RSJ sold a black/black 53 (2004 model year - requiring less frequent servicing) X50 with 19k miles a couple of weeks ago for £60k.

If you can knock a few grand off this price (usually possible with an OPC) then it starts becoming a lot more interesting... though I'd personally hold out for a black/black if that's what you want.

I am also looking for the right black/black manual car and there are very few good value nice examples around.
