Took the dog for a walk this morning, thought I'd take the camera with me.

No post processing, just straight from the camera.

Were those taken with some sort of filter, or is there some colour distortion? The colours seem predominantly bluey-purple and lime green. I like it though, especially the second one.

Number 2 is the pick of the bunch for me, but as has been said, there are some colour and white balance issues.

What settings did you use, and what time of day did you shoot?

I had it on the "Auto" setting (lazy I know) on my Fuji S5600.

I must admit I was shooting on the "Chrome" picture setting, which could contribute to the colour change.

I shot these at about midday.

I'm pretty new to this, so I'm not quite sure what all the settings are, but I've put the pic properties for the purple trees one below:

ISO 400
1/280 3.2
WB "Auto"
+/- "0"

The shot looks just a little too overexposed to me - meaning, a bit too light. If you were shooting at midday (the lightest time of the day, and comparatively the worst time of day to shoot) and had your camera on a chrome setting, then this would explain why it looks slightly washed out.

The positive side is that compositionally the shot is quite pleasant, so you have quite a good 'eye'
