ooh what will haymarket make of this..! hehe

autocar and evo.

occasionally: octane, classic & sportscar, car

i want to more to evo and octane or evo and c&sc but i am struggling to stop with autocar. damn those subs..!

i used to like grassroots motorsport from the US it was more enjoyable than CCC (and unless it has changed i'd find it more readable than practical performance car personally - no offence because i know al rush and people are PCC).

Classic and Sports Car, started buying Classics Monthly recently to read about their refurb of an Elan but will stop when that is over.
The reasons for buying these types of magazines is diminishing as web sites get better, more places give you better used cars to search (Ebay, here, autotrader etc.),specialist marque web sites give you interactive technical advice, more photos etc. I can see me buying no magazines if current trends continue thumbup

Used to subscribe to "911 and Porsche World" and "EVO".

Have cancelled all subscriptions and now buy EVO each month and occasionally Octane.

Just re-subscribed to Autocar as they are doing 30% off, also have subs with Octane, C&SC, Top Gear (40% off and my Dad likes it) and F1 Racing. Cancelled EVO due to late delivery and it becoming too supercar obsessed, and cancelled Car (after 15 years) because they ruined it.

evo
Car(occasionally)
Autosport (every June)

I like the AUTOCAR road tests but hate the way both the weeklies photoshop new cars and call it an exclusive first test drive............

I'm now down to just EVO.

I used to get CAR without fail, but its been in steady decline for years and the makeover was the final nail in the coffin.

I also used to get Autocar everyweek too, but it just doesn't do anything for me now, I'll now only buy it if theres a roadtest or feature that particularly takes my eye.

EVO is so far ahead of all the others its not much of a competition imho. I do miss not have a magazine that covers the wider industry, as CAR used to do so well, but until they get the magic back I'm happy with just EVO.

Evo on subscription and PPC from the shops

Will probably get a subscription for WRC Results magazine as well, as a friend is one of their photographers, and the first issue was excellent.

No subscriptions to any but once in a while:

Classic and Sports Car
Top Gear
Car

No real need anymore anyway as most things are available online although reading online for a long time is hard work wobble
