Best to contact the bearded collie club of Scotland (01875)320836.... they'll know which breeders have pups due. (Prepare to be interviewed at length!)

Pups cost about £400 - £500. Below a link to some info, but straight away I'd have to say (and please forgive me if you know this) that Beardies are REALLY REALLY REALLY high maintainence. They are extremely demanding, and can be extremely difficult to train. A lot of Beardies end up kicked out at about 1 year (our third was from Bearded Collie Rescue), Just be sure you want a dog that'll take up a lot of time (2 walks a day min or they'll tear your house apart - then a LOT of grooming or they smell like the back end of a Ford Cortina Taxi). Months 2 - 24 are the worst.

OK.. done the sensible bit. They are also a SHED load of fun and make you laugh every day. Not particulaly loyal, but very bright and great with kids (apart from knocking them over and licking their faces).

e mail me if you want any more info

Good luck.

James, you fishing to get adopted or something? Funnily enough Steve's photos of Charlie rank amongst my favourites of his work becuase there is a real sense of the affection that he feels for him captured in these. I guess you have to have a canine friend like charlie to appreciate it fully.

Dude have you got the video of the barking light thing? That is enough to convince anyone to get a charlie shaped woof dog. Must confess to being a bit biased though as I actually get on with Charlie better than most people. We are on the same astral and intellectual plane.

In case you think Matt has totally lost the plot... here is a bit of said vid.

I have a hippy-shit sound to light thing in one of the rooms and Charlie likes to change the colour with his bark. Keeps him amused for ages.

He's way to bright for that job, it seems you need the wisdom of an antediluvian crustation to qualify - but I'll put it to him. Trouble is if he stands in the next election that'd be two Charlies in our constituency scratchchin ... maybe I should rename him Charlie Kennedy (instead of Charlie Bucket) and see how many vote for him. Now there's a thought. hehe
