Sorry for the cheeky double post (I've asked this in the P&P) but I figured you guys would have a colour/light perspective on this question.

We're getting to the final stages of fitting the kitchen (4 months without has been a bit tedious) and have got hold of some white LED plinth lights however they're so white they look blue. As the floor is travertine (so cream) and the doors are oak this looks rubbish. Other colour options are blue or red

First question is does anyone know of any LED plinth lights that are softer/yellower? We're trying to avoid halogens because of running costs/bulb life and temperature.

Failing that can I put a filter in front of the light to take the blue edge off and make the light warmer? I have a vague memory from school physics about wavelengths (or something).

If anyone can suggest the best way to persuade white LEDs to give a less harsh, warmer light I'd be very grateful.

You want an 81A or 81B warm-up filter old boy...it can be bought in plastic (gelatin?) sheet form to cut to size...but not sure where from. One of the others should know..they'll be along shortly.

Martin.
