Digi cameras ...
Discussion
Chaps,
I'm thinking of buying a digi camera, but don't want to spend oodles on one. I used to be quite into 35mm 'film' photography (i.e. the stuff that you took photos on before digital cameras were invented) and still have my Nikon F601, but that's something of a dinosaur now ...
I always used to buy photographic kit second hand for financial reasons, and want to do the same. It strikes me that if you can live with technology about a year old, you can buy some good kit that is much much cheaper than the new price. I'm likely to want to use the camera for pictures to post on the internet and send in eMails, so not serious printing or blowing-up, so I am guessing that I don't need lots of megapixels.
If I said I was looking to spend around £50 for a second-hand compact digi camera (as in, not a DSLR) what sort of thing would people recommend I should look at?
Oli.
