Help please

Hello folks,

On the sunniest, dry day for months my m400 is playing up!

when i turn on the ignition, i don't hear the fuel pump spin up.. it did this a couple of times previously but sorted itself after a short wait. Now it's not coming on at all and the engine won't start .

Is there a relay for the fuel pump, and is it located near the fuses? Or do you think it's the pump itself? I have the motorsport pump fitted by Roush.

There's a 2 pin connector by the ECU which is behind the OSR wheel guard. You'll have to take the wheel off to jiggle it out. The fuel pump is behind the NSR guard, could be a connection issue with either part??

I don't know if the fuse for the fuel pump on a M400 is in the same place as the 2.5 but if it is (under the rear clam behind drivers head). Then this could be you issue, they do like to brake down over time.
Worth a check before taking anything apart.

Any luck? There is also an electrical connector for the new fuel pump down near the battery. Mine came adrift when I was in the middle lane of the A1 at rush hour Fuel pump just stopped completely leaving me to have to coast into a very handy layby. Noble London have now beefed this connector up. Might be worth a shufti if your fuel pump is just not working, but fuses and relays appear OK.

Thanks everyone, have checked the relay and connections in the NSR wheelarch. They seem ok. Next is the fuse/connector in the engine bay when i get in tonight. Cheers
