Thanks for all your input, especially Vesuvius, Fidgits, Ballcock, Magic Torch, Ducatti Gary and all. After months of research and searching have finally gone ahead and put down deposit on a 996 ... a 2000-W, Silver/Black, C2 !!

Will be getting an OPC check done on it this week and, assuming all OK, getting the warantee and buying the car.

.. no Magic Torch is right, the 130 referred to bhp, not CC (don't think my golf would go that well with 130cc engine) !!! Still, can't be bothered to change and still have the golf anyway. It's the Fiat (220bhp) that will be sold - if I can find someone willing to pay enough for it.
