Hi people i'm looking at building 3 cars in the Fylde area within the next month but am looking for staff subject to everything going to plan i'll be looking for around 15 people with skills across the board. I'll be honest and the reason for coming to Blackpool is because of the workforce as you've built amazing cars for a long time if anyone is interested especially design team, sprayers car builders etc look forward to your replies and all will be handled descretely many thanks

Without wishing to sound insensitive to the workers, afterall one of my best mates is one of the affected parties, but personally it might be wise to email the original poster, rather than submit brief job applications on here.

The only thing that I can see happening by making your availability known on this forum is to kick-off a bloody great bun fight. 200 workers into 5 - 15 jobs is a squeeze, and probably not something that wants airing on here. I'd hate to be witness to people who have worked alongside each other for years jostling for attention, and it might make the process somewhat more fraught than necessary for those people involved directly.

Just my personal opinion, of course.

To Venom and tuscantwo i can appreciate your comments and i have asked for people to e-mail me with details if anyone is interested and the reason for the request for ex staff is because i tried other channels via the TGWU and after being told i'd get numerous phone calls i finally got one to be told that they would keep in touch let me know if there was staff available but it was a well known fact there were staff but they did nothing to help they just buried there head in the sand believing someone was going to wave a magic wand hence me going down this route i take your comments about 200 people scrambling for maybe 15 positions but what do i do not let people know in case it offends someone? I do value your comments but as someone else commented nothing ventured nothing gained if either of you want to know more please e-mail me and i will answer your questions or doubts best i can thanks for your reply

In my opinion, if there is a chance that the former TVR workforce can gain similar employment and possibley help magicman introduce a new high powered, low weight & desireable sports car into the British market, then its all good.

The former TVR staff posting on here, even if its just to let magicman know that he has mail, will serve as a subtle bump to the thread so it will possibley gain the attention of other members of the workforce as we all know Teds site has a hell of a lot of posts in one day

Good luck Magicman and good luck to the workers
