My indicators on '87 City E seem to have gone a bit wrong
All started when the fusebox went wrong after a spot of rain. A lot of the electrics went but have returned after some fiddling.
Hazards still work, but I know they are on another circuit (?)

Already Tried:
Flasher Unit replacement, and shorting out the wires.
Checked Battery Earth
Checked Hazard Switch
Been told there was an inline fuse behind the Carb/Air Filter - they seem OK, although not sure if they are indicator related!
Checked around the end of the stalk, seems to be in order, no loose connections as such.

When I try to indicate I just get nothing, no dash lights, clicks or what have you..

Any help v much appreciated, a bloody annoying problem
Dave.

The fuse for the indicators is the same as the one for the Brake Lights, Reverse lights etc.. all tested and working spot on.. although they weren't previously due to the rain
So if they are all working can't be a fuse box problem either Wish it was that simple..

if you join the two wires on the flasher can and switch indicator on, does it light up? (wont flash obviously)

Nope Tried shorting out the bottom 2 pins on the hazard switch which should bypass it, but nothing..

The inline fuse behind the carb is definitely indicator-related - and prone to corrosion of the terminals. Definitely worth cleaning up. Otherwise as mentioned above you'll need a multimeter and start checking everything from the fusebox to the bulbs, via the switch!

Crap. Ok, that will be a long job.
I'll check the inline fuse again.. I did check orginally but that was the fuse itself, not for corroded connections. While you're passing through, you don't happen to know wire colours or anything do you? I ask now just in case but it may be obvious when I pop the bonnet.

Ta,
Dave.
