Any body point me in the right direction on the type of oil for my 944S2, in the owners manual is says 10/40w will do. what do others use and what is best fully or semi synthetic.

There is a very similar thread running on the Titanic forums at the mo ... and on the TIPEC 944 forum.

Ask in the Opie Oils thread. Here: http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.

I did, and can't remember what he recommended. It was a silkolene thing. But I'm using a good 10W40 semi-synth and changing every 5k miles. (Oil is from a vauxhall garage as they do very high spec oils at very very good prices, but that's neither here nor there.)

I recently did some research on this and opted for Silkolene 5/40 Pro S. I bought it from Opie for £80 delivered (2 bottles).

I have a 968 but pretty sure yours will be the same spec.

'Tis a HUGE thread, and most of it not relevant to your question! Glad you found the bit that applied tho'.
