From dead front I did think it looked kind of similar to the M15. However I don't like the Ascari, it's far to dull from most angles and just doesnt look like a £235,000 supercar.

Also did he say the engine was taken from the BMW M5 and tuned to 500bhp? I thought with "sport mode" on, the M5 was 500 and something bhp already.

I would probably rather get a Merci for £180,000 and spend the other £55k on say, i dunno, an M400 maybe. Although I need to shift some funds around before I can do that

phone "Hello bank manager, could you increase my student loan to £235,000 please? Thank you very much, thats very kind of you" laugh

The Ascari uses the previous M5 V8 engine not the latest E60 M5 V10 engine...

An Ultima chassis was used as the development chassis for it.

Not sure how directly involved Lee was on that?

Lee wasn't involved at all, other than selling the chassis to Maclaren.

Did you know that both prototypes ended up in the shredder

edit: love the Ascari btw. In fact I love all the projects Lee has been involved with. He has a natural flair. A bit like Colin chapman really.
