Can we have a GT2 post?
Discussion
Why not... Got some new A048's on the car now having given up with Pirelli.
Was a little concerned that the rear rims would be too wide as they are only recommended up to 11.5 inches but they have performed pretty well so far, excellent in this weather and handling was very good on the track.
Might use them again...
Due for a service this month, will go to Notts OPC and get them to change all the oils and brake fluid.. hate those jobs...
Anyway...notice it was the fastest on the ring, cannot wait for Oulton to blow off a gaggle of GT3's and RSs....

I turned the interior light on in mine on Monday night.
Nothing strange about that you may say.......
But I managed it by hitting a badger at
mph on a dual carriageway !!!!
I pulled over as I couldn't get the interior lights to go out by playing with the switches on the central courtesy light in the roof , I then realised it was just the "puddle" lights in the doors that were illuminated (but only when I'd noticed the bright yellow light in a switch next to the radio was illuminated
)
No damge to any plastic bits (front bumper, brake ducts or splitter) but the cars high speed stability is erm "interesting" now, so I'm guessing the geo been knocked out a bit.
The impact caused a massive bang and launched the NS of the car into the air
Not funny when I was ahem cough "making progress" cough

I spoke to the owner prior to purchasing mine. It's on V car register as Cat C or D total loss. Damaged by one of the technicians at OPC Silverstone whilst out on roadtest/showing off to an apprentice/getting the sandwiches (delete as appropriate)
I wanted to PX my GT3 but the vendor wasn't interested.
The owner said it was fitted with a sports exhaust and the car seemed to be more powerful than the other cars he'd driven.
He was prompted to make the comment because he reckoned every time you put the pedal to the metal the car tried to throw itself off the road !
A bit of detective work on here revealed it was a PHers old car that had been to DMS for a 560-580hp conversion consisting of replacement cats exhaust, ECU, manifolds, and turbos ?
Lot of go for the dough mind..........
I too had a chat with the chap selling this car back in October, the price then was £50,995
A £4k reduction in 2-3 months sounds like he's really interested in moving this.
If you could find out the extent of the damage and were satisfied with the repair, then this is a lot of car for C4S money...

As I understand the damage was thus : - Front wing, front bumper, door, steel sill section, front strut, PCCB disc, caliper, strut, spring and wishbone, allegedly no damage to rear 1/4 panel.
Owner has his own bodyshop apparently.
I couldn't see why a £80K plus car had been a total loss. This thread throws some light on why it may have been

How's the badger?
Edited by 911wise on Thursday 4th January 20:11
Badger - Pah. Real men like me who have GT3s run over Squirrels. I honestly had a Squirel take off the front plastic plitter and the drivers side bit of plastic that sends air over the break discs. I hit it, heard loads of noise and though, that's strange and looked in the mirror to see a huge bit of black plastic fly up in the air. Bas***d
I've been on holiday and haven't really driven my car since I had it remapped, everytime I do take it out though I commit several offences in a short space of time!
Plus this place isn't very funny anymore or I'm missing all the good posts because they have boring titles!
It's going on another rolling road session in a couple of weeks to have the correct bhp showing (the last one it kept wheelspinning on the rollers, the guy guessed it was capable of 210 and it showed 550 bhp at one stage, but the torque was only 480?) I'm not really bothered what the power is or the top speed because I didn't max the old speed, but I have to say, the car feels so fast and sounds better. I know I'm hitting 150 at least 100m sooner, not sure what that equates to though!
The mpg is crippling however, but I think it's just because I'm driving faster and the cold weather, not sure, will have to wait until I'm bored or conditions get treacherous.
I've written a testimonial for these guys that did my car, hopefully, once on their website I'll post the link.
You know when I'm not near my car I think about trading it for a ferrari, lambo or aston, then when I drive it, I wonder why I ever would want to sell it, what's wrong with me?
Oh I know, I'm poor......

Is this the car still shown on his website as sold? I was gutted that I missed this car as it looked stunning in Speed Yellow and Clubsport Trim.
