After spending many hours looking through forums on the pro's and con's of TVR ownership, I am going to take the plunge and buy a used T350 c / T.

Please could anyone advise me on what things to check for. What options are essential apart from a/c - I like the look of one car that is only part leather, is that advisable?

What the feeling on buying private? Dealer prices seem so high and although I appreciate you get a warranty, in experience there worthless.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated, as soon as my 06 Audi A3 TDI DSG is sold (which should be soon) I'm keen to buy ASAP.

Thanks all for your help

There's a t350/sagaris forum which would be helpful to post on too, this post may get a bit lost here as its more general stuff Best of luck!

How helpful of you - care to clarify with reasons why - or are you simply trolling.

A private sale will mean no dealer warranty of course and aftermarket offerings are pretty hit and miss.

My advice, get the car you're looking at taken to a Indi dealer - you're close(ish) to Middlewich MOT where I take my Chim - and get them to give it a once over.

Basically if the car checks out then go for it - the 350 is regarded as one of the best tvr's

Definitely get A/C (I didn't and it gets a bit hot in summer traffic!) Try and get a later model as the engine should be one of the more fettled later engines.

Don't forget to get some tips on warming the car up before you get it. Not sure how much reading you've done on this, quite important though...
