Likely a stupid/simple question but where would I source a new key and immobiliser unit from?

Its the standard Ford key with a Meta (99 I think) immobiliser, one of the type that you press against the unit near to the ignition barrel.

I'd suggest you talk to Carl Baker. He's the only person worth talking to about Meta, but then you probably already know that www.tvruk.tv

Cheers Steve, I'd guessed Carl would be the source, but wondered if there were any short-cuts available - will give him a call later today.

Luckily the immobiliser was fitted by him a few years back, so I guess sorting out a second fob shouldn't be as big an issue as it was for the Cerb where the alarm code was hand-written incorrectly in the manual!

Obviously the igintion key can be cut by any locksmith / cobbler with a key cutter.

Yep, that's another task on the ToDo list - I keep walking past my trusted locksmith each day and forget to do it though - post it now written though...
