the administrators have told us we will get a letter telling us not to go to work but the letter will not say we are being laid off, i have spoken to the job centre and because of that they can do nothing. no wages and we cannot claim benefits or claim on our insurance policys which we pay a fortune for. brilliant.

Crazy, poor blokes, especially after Christmas too.

If someone doesn't buy TVR soon, I will.

As mad as fitting a S6 engine producing 400bhp to a car that weighs the same as my grandmas false leg.

Disgraceful situation for all those affected by this appalling display of mis-management. I sincerely hope that the situation is clarified/resolved sooner than later for all involved.

I've resisted posting on these threads but read them with growing alarm and concern.
I'm truly amazed a company can effectively put you in limbo with no financial means for supporting yourself and your family and there's no government law which stops a company from doing it.
Christ, they have laws for just about every revenue raising damned thing they can think of these days. What the hell is this bag of shite country coming to when any bugger from some ...nian or ...ikstan country can come over here and get free anything-you-like, yet honest trying-to-be-hardworking Englishmen can be treated like this. And we call ourselves Civilised!

Our plan is to leave this country some time in the future and it just can't come soon enough.

Edited because I was having such a rant I forgot to wish Gerbil and the other poor so-and-so's my heartfelt sympathies and best wishes for the future.

Really sorry to hear this, Gerbil. The way you guys and gals at the factory are being treated is absolutely diabolical. I hope that you will all receive good news in the very near future.

My very best wishes to all the workforce at the factory, and their families, for 2007. To the TVR management who are doing this to you, fcensoredk you because you are scumbags.

That is intolerable. If these people can sleep at night I don't know how. rage This kind of thing needs to be made public. Have the Blackpool and BBC local press picked up on that issue?

You also pay trade union dues? What are they doing about it? The unions have hadship funds for situations exactly like this surely?

This whole situation astonishes me, i really wish the TVR staff all the best, i sincerely hope it turns round for you. There are some honest competant people in the industry who would be able to turn TVR round, giving you guys the careers you need, & us lot the cars we want. Lets just hope they're tempted.

The way the management have dealt with you almost drives me to buy Porsche ( almost!!! )

We'll keep crossing our fingers

Surely the employees are contracted to work a certain number of hours per week for a certain wage?

Either you're employed and paid or made redundant and can at least claim benefits.

This situation is an absolute disgrace
