I'm getting the motor "permagarded" tomorrow. I'll post some pics up when it's completed.
A friend recently had his Boxster done and it looks fantastic..

IMO it lasts longer than say Zymolling/Swissoling/Meguiring (needs doing every 6 months) and if you dont have as much time to keep polishing then its ideal.
Gonna get my GT3 Permaguarded soon after taking delivery.

Is that the plastic polythene crap they cover the front up with?

Yes. Much better crap nowadays than the old crap which really was crap. Virtually invisible coverage all the way back to the A-pillars.

Virtually invisible? That's like.....err not then! Saves on front resprays though!

Say hello the Mike and the guys from Jon with the Orange Diablo. More than happy with the permagarding on my car, but would agree that it doesn't last 12 months. That said, the top ups are sub £100

I have Permagard on the GT2 - it's an invisible polymer coating and in no way anything like the plastic stick on material mentioned above. I love it - not the shiniest shine but the car scrubs up well with no fuss and even trackday rubber marks lift straight off. If you hate cleaning and polishing cars its the biz. If you like concourse level shine then try something else.

Damian, you can only see it if you know where to look. Paintshield is a much better option imo than Permagard... Permagard provides zero protection against stonechips - and I'd much rather have a dirty car which can be easily washed (and waxed) than a stonechipped car.

I had the rep round from permaguard and it all seemed very good to me it is applied by hand over existing paintwork but before doing this the car is cleaned and most stonechips touched up and car immaculate then this polymer wax is applied and it forms a protective coating over the top of the paint...It is supposed to protect against stone chips.....will be having the wifes Audi tt done on january now its back from the paintshop after some idiot kindly drove down the side of it and f**ked off.....

just my 2 pence worth..

I have yet to find a wax (even the hardest Royale Zymol) which will somehow miraculously repel a small stone at 70mph...
Wax is good for water beading and SHINE, but that's about it.
No matter how many times you wax your car, if you drive it regularly, you will need a respray after about a year or so.
You can still wax over Paintshield with whatever wax you want. (I'm currently "waxing" with Rejex during the winter months, but switch to Zymol Vintage during the summer)

Hi all - Sorry about the delay with the pics..
Very happy with the result that Mike and his guys did down at Permagard. In fact, was totally amazed at how the car came out. The total job was £160 inc VAT - bargain IMO.
These pictures really don't do it justice - BTW very unhappy with my Canon Ixus 800 - don't bother getting one..
