Photoshop Elements... worth it?

[IT10]

Merry Christmas all!
I have a quick question - exploring MyMemory to see what I can get with the 20% discount I came across PS Elements for £18 before discount, and not having a digital pic editing piece of software, am thinking of getting it.
Is it any good though?
Obviously it isnt full PS, but at that price it might be ok.
All advice gratefully recieved

Yes it is worth it. PS Elements 4 gives you plenty of power to do post processing. The most notable thing it doesn't possess is curves for which you'd need CS2 or Elements 5 (to a limited extent) which has recently been released. I'd snap Elements 4 up for such a low price if you don't have anything else. There's an awful lot to use and master in there.

Me, I've already ordered two Sandisk Extreme III 1GB CF cards for 40% off plus the 20% MYXMAS discount

I don't think it's a good deal. I'd get The Gimp for image editing, which is a lot more powerful than PS Elements and legally free to download at www.gimp.org
