I have come across a 996 Turbo S with 52k miles for £46k. Mileage excepted, it looks in excellent condition and value. I know Henry has droned about 'buy on condition' and mileage is should'nt put one off. Opinions please.

No tiptronic S for me thanks, I'm a man

The car is a manual in Polar silver. 02 Reg which may indicate powerkit TT, as I'm not 100% when the S came out? Must double check with the dealer as it's been advertised as a Turbo S, it mentions 450bhp upgrade but no PCCBs.

It's a UK right hand drive car. It's done 52k miles so I guess that's why it's selling for £46k, not sure if it's been accident damaged. The car is on sale at an independent.

It's not an S.

Porsche introduced the S right at the end of the model life, I think is was 2004.

my turbo had done 76k when I sold it - ran and looked like new - mechanically without fault ! Do NOT let the miles put you off but do expect the lower purchase price, bacause of the higher mileage to be relfected when it comes to reselling time.

I usually buy higher-miles cars and have not caught a cold yet !!

wot he said though it was £9k - seems reasonable though I'd like 1-2k off for that miles. I know its not much per annum but it is for an average Porsche. X50 is desirable though but as an 02 plate it may have the undesirable PCM1 IMHO

Sounds expensive to me. A Black 2003 Turbo manual with 31K was booking at £45,000 4 months ago!
