Hello - Newbie

Hi All,
I have decided to join up, having just sold the 996 C4 and now looking for a replacement Porsche - C4S or maybe a GT3.
Without war and peace, I do quite a lot of miles, so will need a second car so as not to trash the mileage. This leaves a lot more flexibility on the pride and joy car - the Porsche. So before committing to a C4S I need to look at and decide if the 3 and some fun days would be the right move.
I intend to keep the car for the longer term.
There you go.
Rich

Hello and welcome.

Hi Rich
Good shortlist. Two pieces of advice from me. Get a drive in the cars. This will certainly help you make your mind up as they are very different expereinces.
Secondly if you come across a bloke called kayc bear in mind his advice concerning the relative merits of the GT3 is clouded by the fact he's a big girls blouse.
Good luck with finding YOUR car.

Welcome Bro
If you have run a C4 previously, I suspect you will be a little underwhelmed by the C4S
it is basically the same car as the C4, same power, but with a fatter arse (in a J-Lo sort of way where fat is good) and bigger brakes.
Although you will no doubt make your own judgement, I have a feeling you may find the C4S a little slower and less nimble.
GT3 is definately the way to go if you want something more focused. However make sure you get one with aircon (it was a no cost delete option on the MK2) cos you will bake without it.
There is a beautiful seal grey MK2 '3 in autotrader which looks absolutely stunning and you wonder why it has been for sale for so long - until you see there is no aircon
good luck with the search. Let us know how you get on and feel free to throw what ever questions you have.
Just dont expect KayC to give you an objective answer
