Well here we go again. We were all due one week holiday pay today, and guess what? We were not paid. Happy christmas NS and DO. Promised it today by union and DO, but nothing suprises me.

Well Millie, that is appalling but with all that has gone on I am not surprised. I hope whilst the offending individuals are tucking into their festive food & drink they take time out to think of the workforce and maybe even feel a twinge of remorse.
I think the way the workers have been treated is awful, beyond words - I know situations like this are difficult to deal with having been there myself but this is ridiculous ,so many promises made then broken.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all, I keep wishing for some good news for you. I just hope you are able to enjoy the season as much as possible. please remember we are thinking of you but I know that doesn't pay the bills. God Bless.
PS
Just seen this quote which might well be appropriate for the aforesaid offenders:

Remember life is not like a bowl of cherries
It is more like a jar of jalapeno peppers
What you do today
Might well burn your ass tomorrow !!!!

firstly the TGWU did not promise wages would be paid as they do not pay the said wages..what they did was to seek assurances from the company that the said holiday pay would be paid they got those assurances now if the company go back on those assurances, then it is the fault of the company and not the TGWU, but if the wages are not forth coming then i am sure the TGWU will take the appropriate steps necessary to recover said wages for its members.....this situation MAY change tomorrow as the company said the wages were bieng proccesed today....so lets wait and see before we start bangin the drums....i have every sympathy, i know what these people are like...

The TGWU rofl
NS hates the union, he has from the start. I wouldn't believe anything Tvr say to the union, there the last people they'll tell the truth too, everything the union has said has turned out opposite, it makes you wonder how much of this was caused by the union (no fault of the union) just the way it was with NS and th TGWU.

The responsibility does not solely lie with the Russian surely, he trusted his company into the same people that nearly bankrupted PW.

The whole issue is surely one of bad management. True the Russian spits-his-dummy-out at every opportunity but that does not excuse the poor advice he has possibly been given by his advisors.

I believe the receivers were called in at 15.00 hours on Friday, but up to that time there were management censored NO NAMES PLEASE!, with others from development loading computers and other assets into a silver coloured van outside the factory reception area, yet at 11.00 am DO informed certain staff that they would be returning to work as normal after the holiday period !!

Its true that people have been told that they will fore-fit all salaries/wages/holiday pay due to them but what about their National Insurance contributions that I believe are only paid annually. That is without mentioning their Pension which I believe has had some of its funds initially misdirected in the past so now causing a financial loss of interest within the scheme..

Does ‘the feathering of nests’ strike a cord without having to guess what family are the vultures ?

Before ‘Ted’ decides to pull this text due to alleged legalities all of the above is well documented and can be proven.
