997 Turbo with PCCBs & LSD Vs 997 GT3
Discussion
Merry Xmas Everybody
Been here a while now & read all the stuff re: the virtues of the 997 GT3 over the 997 Turbo, but of all the comments on this board, I haven't read any reviews of the 997 TT with PCCBs & LSD. Ive read a few very positive reviews on the rennteam board with these options for the TT but none where they compare this spec'd TT with a GT3.
Since most of the criticism of the TT is its lack of driver involvement & that disconnected feeling, it doesn't seem to be accepted here that LSD together with PCCBs seem to address these issues. If this is the case, then how does the GT3 stack up against the TT with LSD & PCCBs.?
Since the GT3s are like gold dust & the Turbos are available, I would really like some reviews on how a turbo with ceramics & LSD compares with a GT3 (preferably also with PCCBs)
I do love the GT3 but as there commanding a £10K premium & the TTs are available, it's a tuff choice especially if the TT criticism can be fixed with the aforementioned options.
Anybody here driven one or both? Are there any demonstrators with these options?
Cheers

Merry Christmas to you too...
Can't see how the fitment of an LSD and PCCBs will transform the TT into the lively and exciting drive the new GT3 is purported to be. Having driven the 996 variants of TT and 3 I can say that they are miles apart in the way they drive / deliver power. TT vs GT3 has been done to death and the differences from before seem to apply still.
PCCBs may provide an usprung weight saving but the TTs drive system will never be close to the 3 in terms of response and poise. Similarly the LSD will make improvements on power delivery through corners but wont liven up the experience.
Just my 2p based upon the previous models and recent hype on the new models.

As Gdunc says this has been discussed alot on virtually every Porsche forum under the sun.
I have been fortunate to own a 996 TT and a 996 GT3.The GT3 wins every time for driver involvement, however if you want something that goes horrifically fast and with more active safety go for the TT.
I have a 997 GT3 on order.
