There was some debate a while ago about UK cars tank capacity. At the factory they told me 90L others thought 60 or even 40. Well - unless there's still an awfull lot in there when the guage shows empty - mine appears to be 60L. Nice to know the factory hand over guys are up to speed then! And we wonder wy OPCs no nothing sometimes.

Pugsey - 67 litrs is the size of the tank in your GT3 - I ran mine almost to empty and I managed to squeeze in 65 litres.

Thanks mate - must admit haven't tried wedging the absolute last drop in but it's interesting to know. The thing's doing 24mpg btw - that's disgusting, even my AMV8 got below 20mpg (15mpg in fact!). I'll have to find another way of annoying the Greens.

I thought I just read somewhere that the 997 GT3 tank was 90 litres, some rag or another. Wait, see: www.porsche.com/uk/models/911/911-gt3/featuresandspecs/

Porsche website is incorrect - I can assure you the UK cars have a 67 litre tank. The Porsche website also has the top speed of the 997 GT3 incorrect... Porsche eh... what do they know.

LHD 90 litres
RHD 67 litres

They restricted the tank to 60L to discourage fat people from buying the new GT3.

LHD 90 litres
RHD 67 litres

So enlighten us as to the true top speed please. Is it 205mph perhaps?

I have no idea - but other areas of the Porsche Literature state that the 997 GT3 997 GT3 RS top speed is 193 MPH

My Owners Manual is incorrect at stating 180 mph... but I think it is right in KMH...

The top speed on the website seems to be accurate - the owners manual itself is wrong.

Ahem...

I presume that, in future, when we disagree, you will immediately accept my opinion.
Now, as regards whether LHD is better than RHD, whether the CGT seats are good or bad, whether...

If not on those things, I hope that at least we can agree on our contempt for Ferrari.beer

I dont recall speed limits saying anything about how long it should take to reach them.

They also put the seat belt buckles on the inside of the bucket seats so thay they would dig in to fatties. German efficiency.

But you get up to them so quickly that surely you then spend most of your time just cruising - hence excellent consumption.

Indeed oh wise one. You must forgive my stupidity in assuming a Porsche employee would know something about his companies product - I'll ask my cleaning lady next time. To be fair I believe Ferrari do make pretty good tractors............I stand firm on RHD though - all the better for seeing those apexes but grudgingly agree re. CGT seats which despite appearing to be perfect for me and a few friends on here do not seem to suit the hordes of short fat people who are apparently in the majority on this fair planet. Full marks though to Porsche for trying to prevent them from blighting their beautiful cars with their presence by such cunning means.
