2nd Porsche and/or kid mobile

I have a few choices:
1. Keep our 60k miles E320 CDI estate (used for kids, everyday driving, hols to the Alps twice a yr, moving around a lot of furniture, washing machines, baths etc for business) and get a cheap fun runaround for me - always liked the 944S2 but secretly would like a black 924S Le Mans. Keeping the merc makes sense to me, have had it since virtually new, changed oil every 6 months, the thing will go on and on for ever.
2 Get a Cayenne S as a runaround for me (and would serve for the Alps trips), keep the Merc for school runs and moving around crap.
3 Outside choice, keep the old merc for school and crap, get a newer E320 CDI for everyday
4 Wife's preference, keep the Merc for me, get her an XC 90 (prob. cos my bro in law has just bought her sister one and she raves about it)
As mad as it sounds, choice 1 is my preference (and its not just cos i'm tight). Like the thought of a great value little porsche to runaround in....it would make me feel that i have some sort of secret and am cheating the system by having great fun for £5k and i'd have less fun in a £20k 3 series
Choice 2, Cayenne, i think i'd like the car but get peeved with the fuel costs and probably the car (I reckon i'd like a nice 944 S2 for longer).
3 and 4 i dont really like.

I don't know what it is with women and XC90's...
My wife just couldn't let the thought go , and two years later , I gave in. She loves it to bits , it's great to see her look after a car well for a change!
Remember she can expend infinitely more energy nagging you into her getting her choice , than the energy you have put aside to fend off her nags!!
