Hi there,

Looking for a bit of help - I'm trying to install a HID kit in a facelift 996. Can anybody give me some advise in headlight removal?

Cheers,

Richard

in side the front luggage compartment under the side carpets, there is a round black rubber grommet on each side. if you remove the grommet there is a small (8mm i think) nut.
if you turn the nut the head light will pop out. To get them back in is just the oppersite but you have to make sure that they are lined up correctly.
Oh, dont forget to plug the connecting wire in to the back of the head light befor you put them back.
Hope that helps.

What happens to the headlight washer fluid delivery tube when you pull the light out ? My right hand one doesnt wash but water runs out of the bottom of the car, so I'm assuming its fallen off.

No no water runs out of the delivery pipe and also there is no need to plug the headlight connector back in as you just press the headlamp back in and use the tool to secure the nut and it all takes care of its self.
