You can certainly be proud of that fact.
I know it's been a shitty past few months for all of you and I can't really say more than has been on previous threads so, sincerely, the absolute best of luck next year to you all and please let it try not to spoil your Christmas with your families.
Fingers well and truly crossed for you guys.....

I’m so very sorry, and incredibly angry too, over what is happening to TVR and, most importantly, you guys at the factory.

I’m new to TVR ownership, getting my first car this year. But I’ve admired and loved the marque, and lusted after the cars, since I first saw one in the flesh. These cars are SPECIAL – and the people that bring them to life are even more special.

When I ordered my Tamora in January of this year I knew that I was buying into something unique. If I am honest, I couldn’t (still can’t) afford the car but knew, intellectually, that the money that I was paying was worth it without question.

But then I visited the factory, and it still brings a lump to my throat to think of it now. To actually see that there are no bloody robots involved; to see the ladies stitching the leather; to see the trimmers fitting the leather; to see the guys rubbing down the car shells, by hand, time after time; to see all the personal effort that goes into the cars… THEN I really knew what I was buying into.

These cars are not simply manufactured; they’re brought to life by the skill and attention of the people at the factory.

This goes some way, I hope, to showing my gratitude at all the workers that helped my car to be born and who have, in doing so, helped me to realise my dream of TVR ownership – a hand made bespoke car, a true British Grunt Sports Car.

I’ve signed the petition, donated to the fund, attended London Thunder; but none of this goes quite far enough. If there were more that I could do, I would. If there were some sort of buy out, and I could scrape together a meagre amount of money to throw in the pot – I would.

I have a fabulous, inspirational, head turning, fun, fast BRITISH and lovingly crafted piece of engineering history - not just for the above reasons, but allegedly the last Tamora produced, according to Bella and the Production Manager.

And I want to say “Thank you”. My one regret of London Thunder is that I did not get a chance to talk to any of the workers, so this will have to do.

I hope that the New Year brings some positive news for all TVR owners that care about the marque and the people, and most importantly for all you guys from the factory. I don’t give a stuff about depreciation, residuals and all that clap trap – I bought a car that I knew was likely to be a money pit purely because of what the car and the marque meant to me.

I’m neither clever, nor wise – but I am positive; life has thrown enough sh!t at me to have to be. Call it prayer, positive thought, cosmic ordering or what you like, my thoughts and wishes are with you all for a great Christmas and a 2007 which is far better than 2006. I can't believe that this is the end of it.

And Brent, maybe one day I'll peel back the carpet on my Tamora and find Gary Numan staring back at me!

I hope that you and your fellow TVR colleagues receive some positive and (hopefully) encouraging news before long.
It is appalling how the company have kept everyone involved hanging about, particularly at this time of the year.

Brent, we've never met but I've visited the factory many times and admired your Gary Numan logo on many body shells for years. I must admit that I was hoping our Tamora would have your logo, as having something personal on the car from the guys and gals who built our P&Js is to me very special, but unfortunately it wasn't one of yours (with no disrespect to the others, of course, including those who did a fabulous job on our Tamora!).

You and your colleagues are to me very special. I admire and respect one hell of a lot anyone whose hard work, skill and passion results in such fabulous cars - as you say, the best British sportscars in the world, and they were built by you and your colleagues at the factory. I couldn't do that.

I wish you and the other guys and gals at the factory, who are all part of the TVR family with us the owners (and will always be), the very, very best for now and the future and that for a change, your dreams will come true.

Sir, that is quite simply the most eloquent and accurate quote that sums it all up that I have seen on PH for some time. bow

The management are making a big mistake if they think building a very Britsh sports car in Italy will work. The key word here is "British". The Italians build great cars that they are proud of and so do we. They didn't move production of Ferraris when times were difficult a few years back, they wouldn't have dared and now the company is a big success again. If management silence the accountants and hold their nerve, TVR has a great future building great British sports and racing cars here in Great Britain, with a lot of Brits behind them.

Merry Xmas guys and good luck. Allan

What more can any of us say really.

Hope you all and your families have a good Christmas and New Year. We will think of you on Christmas Day and we will raise a glass - proud to be part of the TVR FAMILY.
