Can anyone tell me whether the CD slot (commonly used for the SatNav CDs) on a PCM2 is equipped/meant to be equipped with an anti-skip memory ?

Any time I go over the slightest bump the CD playing in the slot skips (changer is fine) which is a right nuisance. Unclear whether this is a parts failure on my car or just design intent :-)

On yeah, and the CD head seek sound is annoying me as well :-( Sounded very like the noise the heater matrix on an old Uno Turbo made before it gave up the ghost, but it is clearly just the CD head whizzing over the Nav CD every now and then. Shame I don't have a PSE to drown it out!!

Happens on mine all the time ! CD changer is buggere@ too, so no "100 top driving anthems" for me at all then !

Luckily I do have PSE which kinda makes up for it !

Seems to be all CDs - a fresh copy of Prodigy's greatest hits starts of with:

I'm a <skip>-starter, twisted <skip>-starter :-)

I suppose I should RTFM to see what Porsche claim (if anything)
