My advice is to get one that interfaces directly to the ecu

that way you can enable features in the ecu and vice versa

I had a quick look at the PDF file - doesn't look like it will work with our ecu's

the MBE ecu is not all that to be honest - might be better to ditch it and go aftermarket

I had an Aim My Chron 3 on my M400, it is fixed on the roll-bar near the mirror.
It can be used even as a complete dash, I've seen the new one, the blue in pics, more complete on a gt car here in Italy.
if you don't enter in the ecu you have to cable the car with sensor for: speed, water temp., oil temp, rpm, gear-sensor, and inside there are already the g-sensor long. and lat. with the software and the lap timer. Using the software with these sensors you can have a complete diagram of the car on the track, drawing trajectory, cutting intermediate to understandig when and where braking, accellerating, using the engine, g-force etc...you can record 60/70 mins of track.
It has been a good help for us for lapping faster in Monza.

Hi Paul,

Data logger I'd use Pi - good range of loggers, dashes and software to suit all needs. Plus you get good service and support which is better than buying on price in my opinion.

Re: the ECU - I'd be driven by the engine builders preference.

Hi Paul,

I've used the AIM system in 2006 (previously was on Pi System 1), and it has proved very reliable, if a little quirky. Good looking dash and excellent value for money. They do have a UK dealer so you can get them here for about a grand for the Pista system.
