I had one of my ls1 plenums flow tested in the States and it outflowed a ported fast intake and the ls6 intake at all lifts iirc. I haven't flowed the ls7 version because I haven't made the trumpets. For top end work I'd concede that throttle bodies are the way to go. They could be fed by twin plenums.
I guess they had to make the runners long so as to change the cross section smoothly from round towards being rectangular at the port inlet. With a plenum arrangement you could have intake lengths from 3" to maybe 11" and stay rectangular in section.

Nice looking set ups those, both the jenvey and the Harop ones.
I don’t know who makes the following on, but it was on show at the Melbourne Car Show last year, Machined aluminium, brass butterflies and linkage already to go. Also looked like it was more vertical in its orientation as opposed to being kept low to fit under the bonnet, though I could be mistaken. The engine was being displayed by a company called KM ROLCO, they are heavily into power boats, racing in particular. They were quoting 700hp.
You can see the linkage arraignment bolted to the valley cover of the block, so all you would have to do is connect up you accelerator cable.

Did you misread my post Pete. I compared mine to a ported Fast intake and the ls6 intake (standard fitment plenums) not individual tb/s.

haha from what i hear your going to need more than a grinder! lol
think they are going for about $30K for the long block! still one would look and go pretty well with a set of thoes throttle bodies sat on top!

PS. i recon you could get about 800bhp out of the LS2 with thoes bodies on! the same engine, but with stock ls7 manifold and a baby cam made 700bhp on the dyno!!! and 922BHP with a 250shot of N2O!

Huge amount of excellent machining work gone into that. I noticed the deck plate and it got me thinking about coolant. Do you suppose it's milled out underneath to get coolant flow around the tops of the liners? Don't think anybodys asked about that. I also noted the plenum they're using, very like mine except my flanges and lower base are cast and then welded together. Engine width isn't a problem and it saves a lot of work! They do seem to like the fabricated lids though.
Oh, page 10 shows some slots so I reckon they have cooling about 1 cm below the deck. It must go round the liners or else it's going to get very hot upstairs

i know they have run simulations through a computer and recond it can easily take over 1500bhp! also with the likes of Warhawk and the new GMPP block saying they can handle over 2000bhp i think it could be up there to!
one guy has a GTO (manarno) with one in that looks just like an LS7. hes also running 2500bhp of N2O and its will make over 920bhp!! hehe
