Should I remove the stick ?
Discussion
Probably would be improved by removing at least the end of the stick. I suppose you didn't want to get wet at the time
I love the contrast, saturation etc on this. Did you do any processing? I'm always trying to learn how to extract the best out of my pics without going too OTT.
Thanks
Stuart

Yes, always ! I boosted the saturation of the reds and the yellows individually to bring up the colours in the leaves, then made a small increase in overall saturation. Adjusted both highlight/shadow by 1-2% and did a little adjustment to curves to lift the shadows and reduce the highlights a bit. Plus one or two other little corrections such as removing a bright white feather in an awkward spot and reducing the brighness of the water at the top right hand side.

I'd be tempted to take it back to the orange leaf just above the lip of the weir.
Probably will do that, but may do it in two sections to see if a partial amputation looks best, will have to get busy tomorrow. Think I'll also crop a little bit off the right hand side and the bottom to remove the parts of the image area that don't add to the overall image, this will also help reduce the area of the rock in the picture at the bottom right hand corner which is just a bit too prominent.
Personally I'd leave it there. It gives a good focal point after the lead in from the rocks on the right, and also gives balance to the rock on the left.
It also looks natural, too many images these days look 'managed'.
On the other hand I have been known to talk b******s.
Oh - and great pic by the way, particularly for hand held/wedged.
