While jet washing my car this weekend I've snapped the 'B' off my boxster badge I've ordered a new badge but any suggestions on how to remove the 'oxster' that is still on the boot lid would be appreciated! I'm worried about damaging the paintwork...

Would replacing it with a GT3 badge make the car any faster? hehe

OPC will recommend to replace the boot lid to be on the safe side...

Afraid DRS is right, also if it wasn't an official Porsche jetwash that will invalidate any warranty claim sir.

Seriously, from memeory if you lift boot is there not a couple of screws inside that hold the badge in place. Might be wrong its been a while since I had one.

It's glued down, not bolted on.

The best way i've found of removing them is with a credit card.

I should have left a note when they nicked the one off my 911 with a screwdriver !

I remove a broken one once - it's the adhesive that's the problem. I used Meths to get rid of any residual glue - it works a treat. Make sure you re-apply plenty of polish after tho'....

As said, use a credit card or plastic business card to remove the rest.

Its possible to pull off the plastic writing first (just yanks off with a bit of effort) leaving the rubber foam and glue behind. Then use the card.

To finish, use meths or even a dab of petrol (I think thats what I used before with mine, but be careful) to remove glue residue.

Best of luck

Try typing in 'Boxster Badge' in Ebay for a ton of options. I took a black badge off my silver Boxster and replaced it with a chrome one, looked tons better. Shame they only do 'silver' badges for Carreras.....

Thanks for all the relpies guys. I'm heading outside with a credit card, dental floss, bottle of meths and a hairdryer... That should get the neighbours talking!
