Sod it - I've decided I'll become as famous for endless threads of pictures of my boy as UKBob is for his food shots.

I took this today (Monday) and I was really pleased with the detail in the photograph. Taken using a 50mm prime in RAW with a SB-600 external flash and sto-fen diffuser, bounced off a wall. I converted it to B&W using the "Lightness" Lab Colour technique. I'd like to hear whether people think it's a bit dark or whether it's OK. In fact any comments would be good.

It's my son, fast asleep on his mothers shoulder. You can make out his scratch-mit covered hand in the lower left of the image. Apparently I sleep with my mouth open too.

Nice pic! Just wondering, shouldn't your new login name be Freddy's_dad?

No - he's Freddie... and I can't be arsed to type an apostrophe.

Great pic. Conversion to b/w looks good to me as well. The medium contrast suits the subject. I've not tried the Lab colour approach (only just started playing with Lab colour at all and usually use Channel Mixer now for b/w). Will have to give it a go.
