I don't think I was the only one not to do the full lap/get to Whitehall. (I bailed out at Haymarket - driver fatigue - car was great.) And I guess at 16.00hrs it was all over anyway.
So - what happened with the petition? Who met with whom?
Any useful bits of info - NTEL or others please?

Well, I know I was somewhere near the back...

...by the time I got there, everyone had decided to stop and block the road a bit anyway!

About four cars behind me a cop car pulled up, the two chaps got out, looked for a half a moment like they were going to book everything in sight. One said to the other something like "it's up at Downing Street" and they marched off. And a very good-natured ad hoc car park ensued for a further 15-20 minutes until the petition was delivered and we all departed, probably most, like me, shaking a copper by the hand and thanking them for their patience.

'Course there were'nt any locals - and all the tourists just looked as bemused as grockles ever do. But there was support from a number of motorists too.

The chappie from the factory that I took, and all his mates, were really made up that the could go up to the gates at the end of Downing Street. Also, the armed police on the other side of the gates were some of the nicest cops you could imagine!
