Question again

Call me lazy for not spending hours researching, but can someone put it in simple terms (apart from engine) what the difference is between a (996) GT3 & Turbo, obv. we're talking suspension setup, maybe rigidity, but what makes the GT3 so special in handling stakes against the TT ?

If mod comes along, feel free to title as you wish :0

The main difference is the drivers - GT3 drivers are steely eyed driving gods- blessed with other worldly driving skills and incredible good looks. Turbo 'drivers' on the other hand are highly skilled at finding the best parking space near their local hairdressers/coffee bar. Unless you're talking GT2 of course - they're all just plain barking. Hope that helps.

in a nutshell.

TT is a very fast 4WD 2+2 996.

GT3 is a very fast 2WD 2 Seater Fast road/track day 996.

One is fast and comfy more focussed at everyday use, the other is more biased to handling/feel and lightweight.

Yup, that bit I'm fine on, but is it just 'weight/susp setup' thats holding the poor unblessed TT owners from obtaining speed bump hell?

TT is about 150kg heavier + turbos + 4wd + SPASM + PCM + sound proofing + rear seats + sunroof + BOSE + rear wiper + seat heaters + lots of other nice comfy bits to make your journey *nice, safe, quick and relaxed*

so if your m8's gt3 had his roundly challenged friend sitting next to him, could the TT keep up with it on corners ?

It dry shaves the words off man-hole covers, you mean. The turbo ia all soap, trendy Gilettes, after shave and so forth. It'd be afraid to shave a man-hole cover in case it got a rash.

Turbo tips, on the other hand, busy themselves with a different type of man-hole altogether.

So apart from alot of hear-say, the main difference seems to be the drivers opinion?
