What a great day ! The noise, the atmosphere the organisation. Well done everyone !

Unfortunately we ended up near the tail end of the convoy, and were still stuck in Picadilly cirus at 4PM ! Apparently 477 other TVRs had been through before us and created a bit of a traffic jam ;-)

So we never got to trafalgar square but still had a fantastic day. Best moment coming off marble arch. TVRs to the left. TVRs to the right...behind...infront...ohh its a TVR jam !

Oh and the long line of TVRs on the way to picadilly circus !

Hi Dodsy,

I was in the T350c 2 cars in front of you at the start and had a chat with you. We gave up at the Ritz at 3.45pm as it just wasn't moving.

Was a fantastic day though. Definately a bit of TVR history!

Cheers,
Martin

Weeell, I was supposed to give a worker a ride. Followed the TVR in front to the Ace, not paying attention to my moaning SatNav and missed the turn off the M4 rolleyes So, round the houses and hit the back of the queue and so I must have been in the last dozen to arrive at the Ace. Pulled up outside (double parked in front of a nice Tuscan ).

Get out the car and ask about the workers to be told they had all found a seat . Then the shout to 'start your engines' goes up and I suddenly find myself in the first dozen or so to leave The Ace (last in, first out ) so I had a fairly trouble free run to Whitehall then about an hour zooming up and down and round Parliament Square and back agagin, until the rest of you turned up and gridlocked everywhere hehe

Hey martin - I was determined to get to picadilly circus but just as we arrived there my tickover got rather erratic and after taking a good look at the gridlocked traflagar square decided to play it safe and head back. Gave me an excuse for lots of revs .... not that I needed one of course ;-)

I was a tail end charlie and, having just watched supramans video, am amazed at how free flowing the traffic looks for the head of the pack around Piccadilly Circus. Absoultly chocker by the time I got there. Moto of the story... get to the front early!

We got to Piccadilly about 3:30-4pm and was told by a copper he's lost count at about 400 TVR's gone past. We had people coming back the other way waving at us

Hi Dodsy I was in the blue Chim that kept getting lost then
finding you again and you let me cut back in front of you twice!!!
Finally gave up turned off got lost again went out toward M4 closed
came back into London had a cab run into the back of me (no damage)
Finally had to phone my brother in law in Newcastle who drives for
National express to guide me back out. Got onto M1 and stuck in traffic
from an accident and got home at 22:45. It was a laugh tho.....I think.

Thanks again, Col

Dodsy, you weren't on your own - I don't think half the cars made it to Whitehall before dark, judging by the convoy we were in!!

We finally got there at 4.30pm,but at least we made it (it must be the British spirit - wanting to see a job through to the end!!)

Finally made it to Whitehall at about 4:15 and not much going on by then so just went straight down and onto Victoria Street and back to Ace Cafe, finally there at about 5:30.

Yeah it was dark when we got to whitehall, took about 4 hours to do the hyde park loop!!!. Even the truck was a little warm..

It was fun driving a 25ft long truck with a race car on it through all that traffic...

We came up behind that m1 smash not long after it happened so only got held up for about 15 mins...
