Evostick on the feet? hehe

I'm sure it will sell well Bob.

Just one thing though - does the tail distract? It looks like the apple has a fluffy shadow.

hehe

The tail does spoil the shot. Ive got others but I prefer the expression on that one the best. At least his tail matches his black boots.

great photo ... but I bet it would sell many times more if it was the stereotypical piece of cheese behind him.

Agree on the tail though. I was initially looking to see if this was a geuine shot or photoshop trickery and the odd 'shadow' beneath the apple distracts somewhat from the shot

P.S. Have you noticed how nit picky we are because there is so little to fault with your stock-shots ?!!!!!

The shot with the cheese is one of the best selling photos on shutterstock. When I do it, I'll do it right, but the swiss cheese Ive bought so far has been too light in colour and tends to get blown out too easily. Its on the cards to do, and I have every intention of knocking the other shot out of pole position

Flattery will get you everywhere

Im not happy with this shot, because:
- it looks superimposed
- gerbil has a nice pose, but doesnt look relaxed
- tail/shadow
- cant be arsed to fix white on front paws

Ive got some other shots, but they are all flawed in their own way.

Got loads more to process, but this one seemed to work out well. The decoration is at a slight angle because it was swinging. Took a lot of shots to get the right pose

Better?

What thread wouldnt be complete without a flaming roast

Just finished shooting, chucked it back in the oven cause I like mine extra well done lick

F16! More DOF really is better scratchchin I think I like more DOF (he says, having said the opposite for the last 6 months, most recently today). I still cocked up the focal point, further south would have worked better I think...

Too far apart.

Impression is two separate pictures.

(You're going to stake me to the ground in Pamplona aren't you? )

Actually - Im going to stick to something here - any stock shots you put up for comment/critique, I'm going to respond to bluntly from my persepective as someone who buys stock, rather than as a photographer. Reason being, you're doing light tent stuff far better than I can at present as I've not really got into it. You're doing a good job of something I pay others to do

So hopefully my criticisms will be taken for what they are - a prospective, educated customer.

Would make a nice crop. Don't like it as it is - meat doesn't feel central to shot.

Agreed. Lose the black to the bottom. The flame is critical at the top, but frame it to cut the bottom 10% or so of the meat out.

Having said that, I'm doing the usual "tog vs editor" thing again. I can crop it myself if I want to use the picture.

Yep...good job

Ive fixed the gerbil photo up a bit, moved the gerbil down and decoration up, and made the background whiter

If i'm looking at the correct updated image; gerbil bashing the borbol (how the censored do you spell it?) shot, there are some slightly darker patches between the bor...round thing & its shadow.

For another theme Bob, how about you put a lit match in his paws(?) and a candle at the side? hehe
