NIghtmare finding the RIGHT noble!!!!!

There's stuff on trader/pistonheads in the lowish price bracket(20-24k) which are poorly/badly described, no seller feedback whatsoever and quite frankly i wouldn't want to part my hard earned with.

Then there's stuff going for around the 28-30k mark which don't seem to be selling and re-advertised constantly.

My question is where the hell is the middle ground on these cars i.e a well sorted one for 25k!!!!! These cars are getting on after all. the 52 reg's will be nearly 5 years old!!!

Am after one in blue or black. Flame suit on- Incoming!

Mine has all the right mods and is yours for 26.25k low mileage and i'll even get it a fresh stamp from noble, what more could you ask for........oh yeah it's green.

To summarise your point :

Poor cars : 20k - 24k
Good cars : 28k - 30k ( but not selling )
And what you want is a good one for £25k

Okay, so find a good one for £28k to £30k and offer the seller £25k/26k. If he really wants to sell it he'll take your offer, if he's happy to wait, then he'll refuse. Simple.

I would have seriously viewed yours as it seems the only one that the owner has a clue that its a 2.5 and that no mods can mean trouble. BUT got my heart set on blue/then black really. Wish to god yours could change like a chameleon lol.

Think i'll just wait it out till new year and hopefully prices might come down. weather is so crap at moment i wouldn't be driving it much.

Fair comment, but if the ECU is needs to be replaced thats 3.5K then if the diff goes thats 2.5K and then fit a track day sump for 1K. I'm already up to 7K.

If I was you I'd hold out till the right one comes along....trust me if you rush and buy something else your dream car will go on the market a week later!!!

Your right it is a shame to use them in the wet, mine is currently wrapped up warm in the garage!!

if the ecu fails - replace it with something aftermarket for half the cost at least

and get better power from a remap !

well here comes another shameless plug - I might well be interested in selling my 2.5 in blue with 12k by the time you would get it - if that of any interest then let me know - in good condition, a small ship on drivers door and a couple of stone chips but nothing serious. Serviced at 9k blah blah blah but a good car going cheap potentially

Yep I'd only buy a 2.5 with all the upgrades and thats been recently serviced and well maintained. Plus there's nothing worse asking someone how long they've had it and they reply 'a few months' or their name isn't on any documents etc. Its all gotta fit into place really. Bought a few pups in my time and this car has alarm bells ringing all over the place if its a wrong un.

Agreed, £21k with a new ECU, although I have heard rumours of a repair to the MM ECU for £1k but they are only rumours. Gadge's comment on an aftermarket ECU is interesting.

Buy one for 21k and then spend 4k to do the TDS and DIFF, as they can do the TDS wile the engine is out (Cheaper) for the DIFF.

My ECUis still going and I belive they can be repaired and mapped.
