911 996 Targa = starting problem {Automatic/TIP} help NEEDED

Hi-just picked up car- {2002}

My friend has two problems-

When in PARK, it Starts...BUT WHEN CHANGE FROM PARK TO GEAR- IT CUTS OUT-so we cant get it moving!

ALSO-on the Computer it says- CHECK ENGINE DRIVE TO WORK SHAFT-

any help/ideas needed

also to note- these faults did not show up from the 190 point check that was done,,,, and happened soon as picked car up. is there any come back to porsche who did check ,,?

Not sure about Porsche, but there certainly is with the supplying dealer.
Assuming you sorted the finance thing out...?

yeah, all was sorted with the finance that was on the car. When we mentioned to the dealer about the finance on the car he said 'how did u find that out'' unbeleivable,

We called the garage about the problems and he didnt want to know-just said go to Porsche, unbeleivable-

A few questions...

1. Did the car from from a Porsche dealer?
2. If not then what sort of dealer?
3. Did you get a Porsche dealer to do the 111 point check? Do you have paperwork?

car was bought from none porsche garage- he sold luxury/sports cars-

check was done by porsche-

yes have paper work- the faults that have occured were not on report

You need to speak to the dealer who sold you the car - no comeback against Porsche.
