Radiator Hoses

Help.

A number of my larger radiator hoses are rotted through. Does any know what car(s) the hoses originated from or what fits? I've tried David Gerald with no luck.
TVR Car Parts do a silicon hose set (expensive). Has anyone tried it and is it worth doing?

I managed to get some hoses from a local indie by taking the originals to him, he matched up hoses with the correct bend and cut them to length, hope this helps.

You could selectively replace certain ones with OEM rubber ones and just get the main ones from ACT. Before I sold my car I replaced the whole lot with Silicone. Best thing I ever did for the the hoese. No more worries and they look cool. Got the same on the Griff.

I too went the silicone route - a few of the dealers are doing complete sets (ACT, tvrcarparts etc) or you can get individual hoses from most performance car shops - try a web search for silicone hoses (but be prepared for some dodgy sites!)

I ended changing mine for silicone... couldn't get a full replacement set in rubber anywhere. I changed all the hoses when a couple were looking a bit worn as I didn't want to justr change a couple and then have the others go. Just remeber to retighten the silicone hoses after about a week as they bed in and you can get another turn on the clips.. Mine were from ACT.

You can purchase individual hoses from ACT, tvr carparts, RT etc, the full kit includes loads of straight hose which takes the cost up, infact it is the most expensive kit of all the TVR models, they are only available in silicone because our manufacturers only produce silicone and we only have 1 set of tooling, to produce them in ordinary rubber in low volume would probably be just as expensive.
