Yep, if i need to know something technical, i usually search the forums and more often than not it'll have been covered before!

Yeah I know what you mean - the sooner Sunday's run is over and we all get back to normal PH techie talk the better - it's all a bit OTT - anyone would think it was the end of TVR!!!!!!

No Jon, its not just you!

There is a real shortage of what I would like to see, i.e. technical discussion on mechanical stuff, tuning, upgrades, engine swaps or even posting on how people tackled various jobs themselves, prime example, Madmarks "how to" guide on replacing Cerb clutch, top work with lots of pictures.

Come to think of it even driving experiences, on road or track, after all that's what the perishing things are for!

but this is the general stuff and gossip forum? Surely most of the technical stuff is in the model forums?

Quite right Kirsty "General TVR Stuff and Gossip". You can get all the technical stuff you want in the model areas.

Oh aren't you a clever dick mate!

As some of us have been using and posting on here for many years I think its a valid comment that there's not much new and of interest, as someone has pointed out maybe some of the more interesting topics have already been covered adnausium.

TBH I normally sort through the FAQs before I do a search. I can usually find something from 2001/2002 that covers the problem. Broke the off side wing mirror at the weekend and found out details on the tripod from 2002. Couldn't be bothered to fix it myself but its always worth going to the garage with a little knowledge about what needs to be done.

With sections on the site such as this one, you will find you make more "personal" contact with people rather than just a question and answer session.... The flip side being the other forums are still healthy with tech talk..... I guess a couple of the "earlier" posters wont be going on Sunday? rolleyes

ya there is always one! New ha. Just cos it says General does not mean we cannot discuss things that pertain to all tvrs (they are all basically the same underneath). Yep I do think It has all been said (unfortunately). Can just see it degenerating into a "let go for a run type durge". Pity at least Major mods has some good stuff in. And the older tha cars the more interesting stuff gets asked on how to keep them going.
