996tt everyday car?
Discussion
Hi people,
Currently looking at my first foray into Porsche ownership and on my current budget im looking at possibly a 996tt or 997 c2s...
Just wanted to know how many owners out there use their 996tt's as everyday cars and what issues they come with? The worry for me is the ground clearance and whether its comfortable taking the car over speed ramps/car park ramps etc?
I'd be driving a fair bit in built up town/city area's...
And does the aero kit reduce the clearance further?
Thanks!
kman

I test drove several 996tt and a 997s before deciding on the 996tt. for me i wanted the performance and the 996tt certainly delivers.
One of my customer's recently had the same problem but decided to opt for the 997s. A couple of weeks down the line he is now saying that it's not quick enough. now i've not seen him drive so no idea how hard he's driving it or even how good he is. The 997 is a quick car.
my 996tt is only a weekend car but i've no doubt it would perform very well as a daily drive. All really depends what you want / need from the car. Either one is awesome but the turbo is a real wow kind of drive but imo the interior of the 997 is a nicer place to be for really long journeys.
