I was thinking of how many Approved TVR Dealers have gone under, over say the last five years and would be interested to put a list together of these. Many have initially enthusiastically dabbled in TVR only to find they are then alienated islands in a sea of enthusiastic owners with the factory effectively ignoring both.
With the dealers and suppliers counted how many peoples livelihoods have been put on the line by the poor management?
However, take a look at the petition; no doubt it will reach to well over a thousand loyal signatures by the time of the London Thunder on 26th November. Just imagine if only 10% of those signing were seriously in the market for a new British sub 40k car, with a V8!, year on year on. It is not inconceivable for this and this market will no doubt be tapped by others (Look at the Marcos adverts, which will further capitalise on TVRs demise).
Likewise, has anyone with influence considered the market value of TVR as of now and evaluated what 1000 plus or so people would have to put in to make an offer. <SNIP><---sorry not in the current climate >
Seriously, lets count the victims cost here:
Factory workers staff and families
Suppliers
Local Blackpool peripheral industrys/ shops/ hotels/ etc
Main dealers
I can list some of those gone so far, can anyone add to these?
Broughtons of Cheltenham
Hawthorns of Farnham
Christopher Neil of Northwich
HL Gorner of Wigan
County TVR of Cheltenham
Gatwick TVR
The winners though will be the independents who know doubt will pick up the extra work as the owners hang on dearly to their British made classics.

Hi all - are Team Central in Perry Barr, Birmingham still going strong?
I have been away from TVRs for over ten years but back now and just wondered if they were either still trading or still involved with TVRs?
Best wishes all in these darkened times

Oh no sir, they went away along time ago.
To the TVR dealer who took a £1000 refundable deposit off me, and then refused to give it back when the car failed its MOT (you know who you are....) I am delighted you are going out of business before Xmas.
You tw@t.
Have a nice life. Maybe I'll pop round and offer my condolences in person.
